I grew up in So. CA, around the beach and the ocean. In my younger years I was known to go from San Diego to Monterey in a weekend searching for a good wave to surf. I followed the surf from Mexico to Hawaii and even across the Pond to Europe in France. I lived a couple of years in Maui, HI.
Now, my greatest pleasure comes from fishing, both fresh water and
ocean. I had a favorite saying while I was doing training seminars
for my top MLM managers: “I will go anywhere, pay my own airfare,
stay in a Motel 6, eat at McDonalds, as long as it includes at least
couple days at your favorite fishing hole.” I had a few takers and
enjoyed a great fishing tour of the U.S. and Canada.
Another true love is Motorsports. It ranks way up there. Formula 1, Indy Car, NASCAR, Offshore Powerboats, the smell of racing fuel and the roar/scream of a high performance race engine just does something to me. I followed a few of the professional racing circuits while representing high performance automotive products. It was an exciting time, rubbing shoulders with the top racing teams in the U.S. and Europe.
Also, I was very fortunate growing up in a Airline family. Because of this, my absolute favorite pastime is Travel. Not as a tourist, but as a traveler. There’s a big difference between the two. Traveling is when you set your sites on the next point on the map and just go. This is one of the greatest ways to expand your understanding of yourself and the rest of the world. This philosophy allowed me to travel to over 23 countries and 6 continents. I celebrated my 21st birthday in Casablanca, Morocco. I still dream of destinations that I can’t wait to travel to; Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, and South America are all stops I want to make.
